At Mortgage and Insurance Needs, we take the time to find out as much as we can about your circumstances and what you would like the outcome to be.
After finding out about your needs, we then search over 27,000 + different mortgage options to find the perfect option for you. Rather than going to each lender one at a time, we can save you time and money and search the bulk of the market, there and then.
In some cases, you may walk away from the initial meeting with an offer in principle, but that’s just the start of our service. We liaise direct with solicitors, surveyors and estate agents on your behalf, taking all the stress and hard work away from you, allowing you to focus on the best parts of buying a property.

My commitment to customer care and business quality was recognised in 2012 when the I won the Best Broker for Mortgages Award (North) at the PINK Home Loans Service Awards.
My passion is to provide my clients with the very best service and outcome and adding value in this way is the most rewarding element of my role.
Always intrigued by the finance sector, on completing sixth form at Calday Grange Grammar School, I joined The Royal Bank of Scotland’s main retail banking branch at Dale Street, Liverpool. Over the following 3 years I received an amazing grounding in all aspects of personal banking, working at offices throughout Merseyside, helping customers to set up new accounts and arrange loans and mortgages and advancing to the position of Customer Advisor.
I left RBS to join the biggest property services company in the UK, becoming a mortgage broker within their estate agents’ offices and specialising in the financing of new house purchases, always with the aim of making my clients house-buying journey as stress-free as possible.
With a raft of experience under my belt, at 24 I decided the time had come to become self-employed and join Mortgage & Insurance Needs in West Kirby as a Director.
I’ve never lost my fascination with finance and love helping people get to where they want to be, having witnessed time and time again how making the right decisions at the right time can have such an overwhelmingly positive impact on my client’s everyday lives.
When not at work, I’m mad about cars and travel and enjoy socialising with friends as well as a spot of networking.
After studying at St Anselms College I went on to achieve a 2.1 in Accountancy and Financial Management form the University of Sheffield I returned to the Wirral to work in National Estate Agency. This gave me a great insight into the local housing market and process of purchasing a property. I enjoyed helping people find their ideal home and helping to make the process as seamless as possible.
I then returned to my passion, finance, as I was offered a graduate scheme to work and study as an Accountant for a large Wirral based PLC. I completed the ACCA qualification to become a chartered accountant.
The opportunity arose to work in property again, whilst providing financial services and this proved too enticing to pass up. Having obtained my CeMAP qualifications I took the leap to become self-employed and joined Mortgage and Insurance Needs as a Director.
Since joining I have never looked back the business has grown from strength to strength on the back of our strong local reputation and quality of service.
Outside of work I enjoy playing rugby. I have represented Hoylake RFC for the last 13 years so please don’t be alarmed if you are welcomed into your meeting and I am sporting a cast or a black eye!
My aim for every client of ours is that they have a smooth, painless journey whatever we’re helping them with as I know from personal experience it can be so difficult to try and do everything without the help of a broker.
Outside of the office, when I’m not answering emails, I’m preparing to become a Mrs as well as watching my beloved Liverpool and Formula 1, with the occasional holiday to somewhere exotic thrown in for good measure.
Having completed my studies at Birkenhead sixth form college I joined the biggest comparison website in the UK moneysupermarket.com in 2008, initially to become an energy broker, helping customers to find better energy tariffs.
In 2010, I took the opportunity to become a life insurance consultant, a role which gave me the satisfaction of helping customers save money and feel great (a moneysupermarket.com saying, honest!). I also gained the extensive knowledge of the different products and providers operating in the life insurance industry, which I still use today.
In 2017 I was approached by MAIN to join their growing team, working in their amazing new offices in West Kirby, and taking on a new challenge, heading up the protection business for them. It was too good an opportunity to miss!
With 7 years industry experience as well as using external software, I help our new and existing clients to find the right level of cover to protect both their properties and their personal needs, comparing clients’ existing policies against today’s marketing leading products.
I help every step of the way, including completing application forms with clients, chasing updates from insurers, speaking to client’s surgeries if we need GP reports, and challenging decisions made by insurers. I do all that I can to make our client’s journey as stress free as possible and it always pleases me when clients are happy with our service.
Outside of work I enjoy watching the mighty red men, Liverpool, (even getting to a few matches), playing a bit of golf (not too well), seeing friends and family and going on holiday.
In 2013, I took the opportunity to become a money adviser, a role which gave me the satisfaction of helping customers to address their financial concerns. I also gained the extensive knowledge of the different products covering everything from mortgages, insurance, savings, debt management and money management.
In 2016 I was made redundant in this role while pregnant with my first child, in 2017 just as my maternity leave was about to come to an end I reached out to M.A.I.N who invited me to a meeting. One month later I joined the team and have been a part of their developing journey ever since and am proud to have been a part of their growing success over the last 2 years.
With 6 years industry experience as well as working face to face with clients on a daily basis I work to make contact with existing clients whose fixed rates are about to come to an end. My job is to ensure that new rates are secured for our clients and they don’t move to a higher, and more expensive product.
I also work alongside Abbie to ensure that new cases are progressed forward and our clients are always kept informed.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, watching rubbish TV and being an active member of my local Crossfit affiliate.
I went to Liverpool John Moores University in 2009 in which I gained a 2.1 degree in Broadcast and Media Production.
Following University, I became a Buyer for a local wholesale distributor, dealing with a number of high-profile manufacturers in the grocery and confectionary sector, along with several other household suppliers.
After 5 years within my role as a buyer, I was looking for a new challenge, which is when I was offered the opportunity to take on the role of Mortgage Application Manager within Mortgage and Insurance Needs.
My role involves processing the decision in principles and making sure the full mortgage application is processed and relevant documents are supplied to the lender to make sure the process is as slick and seamless as possible. I will then liaise with the client managers to make sure the case is completed and processed accordingly through to the mortgage offer.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family and friends and my daughter Jasmine.
In 2017 I left sixth form at West Kirby Grammar and started a job in an estate agency. Here I gained knowledge about the local property market and learned exactly what happens when you sell & purchase a property.
In August 2018 I had the fantastic opportunity to come and work for Mortgage & Insurance Needs as Client Manager.
When you come and take out a mortgage through us, I am the first point of contact. I will book in your appointment with one of our highly experienced brokers, push the mortgage through to the point of mortgage offer, and then chase the solicitors until your mortgage has fully completed.
I am always on the other side of the phone if you have any queries during the process.
When I am not in work, I enjoy holidays, drinking and eating, and spending time with my friends, family, and my 3 cats.
Following my A Levels I decided to go down the higher apprenticeship route rather than University, joining automotive insurance specialists, Aequitas Automotive Limited in Birkenhead.
After completing my initial two year apprenticeship in Marketing, I spent a further five years at Aequitas, continuously developing my skill set and portfolio.
Having experienced the benefits of using MAIN first hand, the opportunity to join their wonderful team and promote the business was an opportunity not to be missed.
Before joining MAIN, George had helped me and my partner to buy our first home, at the age of 21 in November 2015. He like all the brokers, made the process as stress free and easy as it should be. At Mortgage and Insurance Needs, the client really is at the forefront of everything.
Outside of the office, I enjoy travelling and try to get away as often as possible. If I’m not away, I’m usually found watching/playing Football or spending time with friends and family.
